TEACHING
"My teaching philosophy is centered on fostering well-rounded musicianship and a love for music. I teach to listen deeply through a well-rounded syllabi of technique/repertoire on the violin, ear training, singing, reading music and music theory."
A dedicated teacher, Miss Audrey brings warmth, excitement and experience to each and every one of her students. Drawing from her own music career/music education, Suzuki pedagogy, vocal training as well as a liberal arts and humanities education, Miss Hayes provides creative and custom references and multi-faceted learning strategies for students ranging from the ages of 9 and above.
Aside from teaching masterclasses in New York and Seoul, South Korea, Miss Hayes has held a private teaching music studio for over 15 years where she has taught violin, ear training and voice both remotely and in person. She has also taught violin in the after- school programs at the Brooklyn Waldorf School and NYC’s P.S 11.

"Audrey is awesome! She helped me prepare for my graduate level ear training and sight singing exams and got my mind back in the headspace of these sorts of aural skills. She was very organized, having clear objectives for each lesson that built upon the previous sessions. She was very attuned to what I needed, adapting the overall plan to match the areas where I was lacking, and specifically diving into arease where I was really not doing so hot. She was very kind, punctual and effective as a teacher! 15/10"
